TRAVIS HELLSTROM is a writer and founder of Advance Humanity, a humanitarian consulting agency that helps social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders dream big and expand their influence.
After graduating from college with a degree in Pre-Med/Biology, he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mongolia from 2008–2011, where he worked with local hospitals and clinics in the eastern steppe of Mongolia to help doctors, nurses and residents improve the overall health in the community. He was also a Peace Corps Fellow at SIT Graduate Institute, where he received his MA in Leadership & Management. His focus was on social business and nonprofit management, and he wrote his thesis on “Leading Happiness: Shared Leadership and Happiness at Work in Certified Benefit Corporations.”
He has also led the certification of six Certified Benefit Corporations, including the first in Asia. He is the author of several titles including The Dalai Lama Book of Quotes, The Abraham Lincoln Book of Quotes, and The Peace Corps Volunteer’s Handbook.
