TRAVIS HELLSTROM is a writer and founder of Advance Humanity, a humanitarian consulting agency that helps social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders dream big and expand their influence.
Travis was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia from 2008 to 2011, where he worked in the eastern steppe to help doctors, nurses and residents improve the overall health in the community. He was also a Peace Corps Fellow at SIT Graduate Institute, where he received his Masters in Leadership & Management. His focus was on social business and nonprofit management, and he wrote his thesis on “Leading Happiness: Shared Leadership and Happiness at Work in Certified Benefit Corporations.” He has also led the certification of six Certified Benefit Corporations, including the first in Asia, and served as Chair of the School of Leadership & Management at Marlboro Graduate School, with a focus on Mission Driven Organizations and Social Innovation.
