MATTHEW FOGEL, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a part of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. He graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing from Pima Medical Institute in New Mexico, and graduated from Simmons University in Boston with a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He spent his nursing career on a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) specializing as an open-heart surgery recovery nurse.
As a fierce medical cannabis advocate, he wrote a petition for adding patients who suffer from neurodegenerative diseases to the accepted list for medical cannabis conditions that was approved by the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Advisory Board. Matthew’s passion is for patient education and harm reduction. He lives in Albuquerque, NM with his wife, Elizabeth. He is the author of The Green Elephant.
