KAT HILL has a degree in Public Health, Nursing and Midwifery. She has worked as an educator and nurse, but after her diagnosis of young onset Parkinson’s Disease, she has devoted her time as an advocate for persons with chronic illnesses.
She is an Ambassador for the Davis Phinney Foundation and sits on the patient advisory committee for the World Parkinson Coalition. She spoke at the World Parkinson’s Congress in Kyoto, Japan in 2019.
She has a podcast, PD Lemonade, that focuses on wellness and resilience. Kat and her husband Ken have raised three bright and spirited children in Portland, Oregon. When not traveling with her husband, she can be found painting, recording, or sewing with Baxter, her Yorkshire Terrier, by her side.
Kat is the co-author of Being Well with Chronic Illness with her friend Nancy Peate.
