DR. MADELAIN FARAH wrote the original edition of Lebanese Cuisine in 1972 to memorialize the recipes her mother had passed down and share these unique creations with the world.
Author of many books including Marriage and Sexuality in Islam and Pocket Bread Potpourri, Dr. Farah was a woman of many gifts: teacher, linguist, writer, Fulbright scholar, former model and beauty queen.
Among her extensive academic accomplishments is a doctorate from the University of Utah in Middle East studies, sociology, and language and literature. Dr. Farah was also an educator who spent a number of years teaching French and lecturing with an emphasis on Middle East culture and literature.
