Summer 2016 Stewardship Program

Summer 2016 Stewardship Program

Hatherleigh Press is currently looking to fill stewardship positions located in the beautiful Catskill mountain region of New York State for the summer of 2016.

Through this unique program, individuals will have a hands-on learning experience in all facets of book publishing, from reviewing manuscript submissions, editing, participating in photo shoots and digital content production, media relations and social media. Stewards will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities of the surrounding area, including local farms, and participating in rural community support. College credit may be available. Ask your advisor.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with diverse interests in writing, publishing, media, the environment, and outdoor activities.

Housing is provided. A driver’s license and car would be helpful, though the area is small enough that a bicycle will be sufficient for traveling as well. A $300/month stipend will be disbursed at the end of each month. Ideally a one or two month Stewardship is preferred, commencing as early as June. Weekends are free to explore and enjoy the surrounding area.

To apply please send resume, cover letter, and references to publicity@hatherleighpress.com
